Stone processing and the machines in our workshop

From block to finished piece

We process stone in our own workshop. Every piece goes through the same steps: from the raw block through cutting and processing to polishing and installation at your place.

  1. Block cutting

We cut raw granite and marble blocks into slabs and pieces of the required thickness with a diamond wire saw.

  2. Cutting and processing slabs

On bridge saws we cut slabs to size, with straight or angled cuts.

  3. CNC machining

On the CNC machining centre we make precise shapes, cut outs and edge profiles.

  4. Grinding and polishing

Edges are ground and polished on edge processing machines. Surfaces are finished as you wish: polished, flamed, satinato, leather, lapato or sandblasted.

  5. Installation

We deliver the finished pieces and install them on site.

Processing machines

What is what: the machines on which our products are made.

  • CNC machining centre

    CNC machining centre

Computer controlled machining of slabs for precise shapes, cut outs and edge profiles. The slab is held in place by vacuum pods during machining.

  • Bridge saw

    Bridge saw

A saw with a large diamond blade and a rotating tilting table for cutting slabs to size. Slabs are moved onto the table with a vacuum lifter.

  • Edge grinding and polishing line

    Edge grinding and polishing line

Several heads in a row grind and polish the slab edges step by step while the slab travels on a roller conveyor.

  • Edge processing machine

    Edge processing machine

A machine for grinding and polishing the edges of stone slabs. Granite stair treads in the foreground.

  • Wire saw for cutting blocks

    Wire saw for cutting blocks

A diamond wire cuts raw stone blocks into smaller blocks and slabs. The block stands on a trolley running on rails.

  • Bridge saw with tilting table

    Bridge saw with tilting table

A second bridge saw with a tilting table and numeric control panel for straight and angled cuts.
